Term: Bonus Dice
A variable die that is added during situational moments, usually for favorable outcomes.
The dice starts at 1d4, then grows 1 Step/Stage when another bonus dice would be applied. From d4, to d6, to d8, to d10, then d12. Once the d12 stage is reached, you start over at a d4 along with the d12, and build up from there (d12+d4, d12+d6, etc).
Another way to remember is to count each dice as a stage numerically, as a d4 as 1, d6 as 2, d8 as 3, d10 as 4, and a d12 as 5, so on and so forth.
Is not cancelled out by Penalty Dice, instead both sets of dice being rolled.
