Term: Anathema

An Anathema means an act that is abhorrent, odius, or repellent. Often used in discussions of religion or beliefs, it holds many meanings and can mean many things. Garlic is Anathemic to Vampires, for instance.   In CHASE, an Anathema is minor feature that gives a weakness alongside another. Being a Werecreature makes a player character vulnerable to Sacred Metal, Priests are forced to hold burdensome curses for their Domains, so on and so forth. All Aanthema are meant to uphold a character's theme, giving a risk for the reward.
