Term: Anathema
An Anathema means an act that is abhorrent, odious, or repellent. Often used in discussions of religion or beliefs, it can mean many things and have several implications.
In CHASE, an Anathema is a minor feature given alongside another, more beneficial feature. All Anathema are meant to uphold a character's theme, giving a risk for the reward. For example, garlic is anathema to Vampires in theme, while a player being a Werecreature makes them vulnerable to Sacred Metals such as Silver within the game.
