A Log Book is a basic book sized 8-11 by by 14-17 inches. It's pages are blank and it usually comes pre-packaged or crafted with 100 pages (50 sheets) of paper or writing material. Some may track how many pages are in any specific book, but that is entirely up to the kind of adventurer.
A Log Book can be converted into a number of different ledgers and logs, at the cost of 1 gp per conversion and a
Short Rest. The monetary cost is unretrievable materials used in marking, segmenting, and beautifying the book to meet the standards of the task.
Some log books are either enchanted or made of special materials during
Crafting. These extra costs do not mess with the conversion process, but do offer different avenues for those that use these books.
Converting a log book takes 1 gp and 1 Short Rest to complete. This conversion process can be done in stages, during 6 Swift Rests; and the material cost spent at the conversion process's end. There is no skill check needed to complete this task.
