Rare and secretive, the gnomes of the wilds gather in hidden communities and exist in worlds parallel to normal. As such, many take on the namesake of one of the few gemstones found on forest floors; the garnet.

Garnet Gnomes are often associated with the forests and the fey. Many speak Sylvan in various forms, and use illusion and magic to keep themselves, and their worlds, mutable and vibrant.

  • Have kaleidoscopic hair and/or skin, that changes based on your mood, when you use magic, or when you sleep.
  • Prefer a world most chaotic. Or the want the opposite, after having lived much of your life with powers beyond passive control.
  • Are quite familiar with nature and its many facets.

Base Talent(s)

You gain the following...  
Whispers from the Forest

You have a magical knack, giving you the appearance of a chameleon and the voice of a snake.

You gain your choice of a Zeroth ability from the Illusion tradition; or proficiency in the Diplomacy primary skill. If the ability you choose is a spell, your casting ability is an attribute of your choice.

Additionally, you gain the Animal Handling skill talent, regardless of if you qualify for it (or another you qualify for if you already have it).

Finally, you can change your hair and skin color or patterning; making them appear as you'd like. Doing so uses an action / , and can be used to help you hide; giving you a bonus dice (base d4) to Stealth checks.

 

As this talent is tied to a heritage, it cannot be regained or swapped, unless under specific circumstances.
