Help Behind the Hero

You have people who will help make sure you are maintained. They may be retainers loyal to family, or one incredibly competent butler or maid. Whatever the case, they do what they need for you, even if they may be legendary in their own right.

You have up to three retainers who perform mundane tasks for you to a high standard. this can be as simple as polishing the armor and weaponry for you and/or your allies, to acting as messengers and couriers that do all your party based shopping elsewhere. No matter what, they will not fight for you (though this may change at the GM's discretion), and if they are abused or endangered beyond their pay grade, they may just leave you in the lurch.

As said, it is up to the GM to divulge how competent they are. It would be advisable to work with them on how these characters' jobs are done, and what distance is placed between everyone involved. This could even lead to various avenues for adventures, or problems t hey may be able to solve diplomatically (such as a Majodormo being a retired hero that speaks on the heroes behalf with old, more royal allies).
