Grand Duke of Ayrith

Appointment

They are appointed by the previous Grand Duke, usually an heir (son or daughter) or another on of the Dukes of Ayrith.

Duties

The Grand Duke is head of Ayrith, and has the final say on how Ayrith is run. But is not an absolute ruler.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

The other Dukes may force them out if 5 of the 7 vote to. They then appoint a new Grand Duke.
