Seralm (Seh-rahl-m)

Seralm are a peaceful, angelic race with strong ideals against violence and force. They are likely a purer cousin of Aasimar or a direct descendant of some celestial god. Despite their origin, Seralm rarely dedicate themselves to any religion or society, preferring instead to mingle with social circles across the world. They bear four, on rare occasions six, dove-like wings that are seldom meant for flying and often used as another form of physical expression. They commonly have slender bodies as they tend not to hoard food and other material possessions.

Seralm are almost always brought up to be kind and gentle, that doesn't stop some from turning to evil whether it be from or unjust circumstances or some other corrupting force. Instead of being shunned, evil Seralm are often offered chances at redemption by their kin and only in extreme cases are they ever hated for their ways.

  • Basic Information

    Anatomy

Seralm have two sets of white dove-like wings, one in the upper back and another in the middle back. On rare occasions there will be a third set of slightly smaller wings located somewhere in between the lower back and waist. A Seralm born with a third set of wings is said to live a good life.

    Biological Traits

Seralm have several ethnicities relating to separate celestial or aethereal bodies. Despite their biological differences rarely does it ever create any divides between Seralm.

    Civilization and Culture

    Culture and Cultural Heritage

Seralm are a people of expression which is reflected in their love for dance and music. In dance they commonly use their wings to show emotion and add another layer of depth not seen in other cultures. Their music commonly uses a cultural woodwind instrument, similar to a flute but much louder, called a Sireph.

    Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Due to the Seralms relationship with celestial and religion they find themselves placed in a position of worship by many religions and cultures, often giving Seralm who stick to one or two social groups an ego. Because of this almost deific worship, Seralm have a hard time finding genuine friends outside of their own kin.
