Gelbhrune

Gelbhrune is the god of Runes, an ancient being who fueled the creation of the galaxy with their magic. They exist through the runes, and act like a collective consciousness governing the runes and their balance. Ever wondered why things like Strength Multiply Multiply doesn't give you the strength to throw planets instantly? They are responsible for this.

Their power grows the more Runes and their use spread. This gives Gelbhrune the motivation to keep magic balanced, for not only do they naturally want to keep the world out of chaos, but if runes are seen as too dangerous or powerful, their use will decline as fear grows for the runes.

The Coalition has signed a deal with Gelbhrune that they will allow the Navarchs to grow much stronger through the runes in exchange for the Coalition not outlawing runes throughout the galaxy and in fact encourage their use so Gelbhrune's powers continue to grow.

While Gelbhrune is not proud of what they have to do, they are much like a creature, simply doing what they have to to stay alive and thrive.
