When the target is affected by this spell, its scales grow jagged spikes. These spikes act like Armor Spikes with an Enhancement Bonus to attack and damage rolls equal to +1 for every 4 Caster Levels (maximum +5). This bonus does not allow the spikes to bypass Damage Reduction aside from magic. The subject is automatically considered proficient with these scale spikes.
