Plane Shift

Plane Shift

Conjuration (Teleportation)
Level: Cleric/Oracle 5, Shaman 7, Sorcerer/Wizard 7, Summoner 5, Warlock 7
Components: V, S, F (a forked metal rod attuned to the plane of travel)
Casting Time: 1 Standard Action
Range: touch
Target: creature touched, or up to eight willing creatures joining hands
Duration: instantaneous
Saving Throw: Will negates
Spell Resistance: yes   You move yourself or some other creature to another plane of existence or alternate dimension. If several willing persons link hands in a circle, as many as eight can be affected by the plane shift at the same time.   As part of casting this spell, a special forked tuning rod must be used. When the spell is complete, the caster strikes the fork, causing it to emit a musical note and complete the casting of the spell. The fork must be made out of material and tuned to a note corresponding to the target plane to be traveled to. Details on these fork, along with various destination planes that can be reached with them, can be found in the Tuning Forks article. Unlike most low-cost material components, tuning forks are not all presumed to be present in spell component pouches, and must be specifically accounted for in a player's inventory.   Precise accuracy as to a particular arrival location on the intended plane is nigh impossible. From the Prime Material Plane, you can reach any other plane, though you appear 5 to 500 miles (5d%) from your intended destination.   Plane shift transports creatures instantaneously and then ends. The creatures need to find other means if they are to travel back (including casting plane shift again).
