Interview Process

I didn't know what to make of her when I saw her. She was a thin lass, and blue as where the sea meets the sky. She was wearing a white shirt and brown pants, both a little too wide for her. A crew member said her name was Linrissa Caprea. At some point she noticed that I was looking at her, and began staring right back.

"Your beard is very long" She said, looking up at me. I sighed.
"Look kid, I don't need you wasting my time. Either you can work or you ain’t getting on my boat." I said plainly.
"Oh, I can work. I've worked before." She said, smiling and nodding.

One second passed, then another. I was getting a little impatient.

"I'm sure you have. But what can you do?" I asked
She paused, sticking her tongue out of the side of her mouth deep in though.
"People say I'm a really good dancer" She proclaimed excitedly. I frowned.
"Uh...I can recite the sylvan alphabet backwards, and the common one forwards.”
“That’s very nice but -” I began.
"Oh! I can do this!" She said as she suddenly reared up and spit a large amount of mucus into the air. Then, with a wave of her hand, it zoomed back into her mouth without a trace. She gulped loudly.
"Tada!" She said, extending her hands and feet.

"You must be real proud." I said as I began walking off. By far the stupidest display I have every seen. I need to start getting someone else to screen these people.
"Mr. Douglas, wait!" She shouted after me. "Have you ever tasted a fried mushroom?"
Shit! We actually could use another cook. Gus’ cooking is getting a bit old
