Bronwyn (ˈbrɑnwɪn)

"Hey, who's this?"   "Oh, that's Bronwyn, haven't seen her in a while."   "Who's she?"   "My kits mother. She was adopted by the Domei of Jannet, and I adopted her kits, when they were offfered to the palace."   "So she was adopted by someone important, and now she's here."   "Well, and she's important herself, in a way. It's a tradition in diplomatic circles that you only give a cat to someone you want to get along with better."
"I am Avalline d'Ankeryn, thank you for entertaining my most precious friend, Bronwyn."   "It was no trouble, she was all about the pets."   "Ah yes, getting bribeable as she grows older..."   "Besides, I smell like someone she likes."   "Oh?"   "Her daughters..." He pointed as the daughters in question were saying hello, to a great concert of mew and mau, and more than a few licks, as apparently, brownwyn felt her daughters needed each at least a start on grooming.   "Mau." Apparently, I can do this myself.   "Mew." Hey, not so rough.   "I'd no idea her daughters were in the Capital, since they were sent to the palace, I should have guessed, or maybe asked Amarat."   "How's he doing, these days?"   "He doesn't have much time for the likes of me."   "Then allow me to teach you to cheat." Linni said, a sparkle in his eye.   "Oh?"   "Just say your cat wants to see her mother."   "The Nameita Robyn?"   "The very same, he is after all, her favourite human."   "How do you know so much?"   "He's my first cousin, he's hardly mysterious anymore."   "Oh, you're the famous Linni!"   "Famous?"   "Domei Mikhala keeps mentioning you."   Apparently, having your ears roughly licked by your mom was a near traumatic experience, and three of the four children were now piled on Linni's shoes in a purring pile.   "Well, she does employ me, so I hope she says good things..."   "She hasn't mentioned employment, just that you were very adept at taking care of cats. Which looking at your feet right now, looks fully justified."   "Ah, Kruk, Corbo, Corvoand Raven are easy."   The scene at the other end of the room was both precious and excessive. Bronwyn was trying to lick Raven's ear, while Raven was trying to do the same to Sensible who was having none of it.   "And their kits?"   "Precious little fluffballs, the lot of them."   "Mew!" Yeowch, you took off five-score hairs!   "Mew! Mau!" Mom, give me a minite, Sensible's ear needs a few more licks, or so Raven seemed to say.   Bronwyn was serenly unaffected and kept bathing her daughter's ear, probably a bit too energetically, not entirely because she'd missed the lil scamp. And apparently thinking: 'and made me a grandmother to boot!'   "Who's that?" She pointed to a similiarly-coloured cat that had walked in like it owned the place.   "Oh, speak the name of Gehran."   "What?"   "Remember I said to ask to visit Robyn if you wanted to talk to Amarat? This is her." The sizeable feline(bronwyn herself was smaller, but only by a small amount), had just walked in, spotted Bronwyn, and decided some ear grooming of her daughter was required, which made the huge kitty licking the huge kitty licking the merely large kitty licking the large(for its age) kitten, quite comical, at least as far as Linni was concerned.   "Haha. Well, no Rainbow Trout for you, you're all way too big, but I'm allowed to give some Gaigang, if you're good..."   "Not missing a beat, Robyn went "Meeyauuuu", as in 'this is acceptable', and resumed grooming her long-suffering child.   "Mauu!"   "And I thought Bronwyn was big, look at her mother!"   "When I was little, Robyn, Bronwyn, Ariellyn, Danillo, Raven, Corbo, Corvo, and Kruk all sat on me, all at once, I had light bruises! They're not small cats."   "Were they this size then?"   "Mostly, Robyn and Bronwyn probably gained a kilo, Raven and the rest of her sisters probably two. All that Gaigang..."   "Trout is more fattening?"   "No, but they like it better, or so it seems, they will ask for seconds if it's Rainbow or Speckled trout."   "Seconds? Just how do you close your catfood budget?"   "Err, with help and a crowbar, sometimes."
