  The wonder of the magical world of Arkadian lay at the heart of the planet, but the dangers on the surface rise in plain sight. For millennia, all manner of creatures big and small have called these lands their home, their heart. Those that would seek power often find that it comes with greatness - or great consequence.   The continental divisions and the deadly oceans and deserts between them created a world where creatures were long isolated from other lands, knowing only things about them that could be studied in the remains of ancient, dust-covered texts lost to the libraries of time. Despite this history, the world came together. A tenuous peace has been struck, and so far it has been kept. Or so it appears on the surface.   Barriers of technology are now collapsing as this new era of magic, communication, and travel begun to unlock the world's potential. With it, those who would seek to take it for all that it is worth, consolidating power and using it for their own benefits, move brazenly with their own hubris unopposed. Fear is rising in the land, and the world knows it.         That's where you come in...
