Writing an Arc
You can pitch an Arc for any existing Region, even if it is not currently "active".
This could be a great option for a writer wanting to explore a more linear storyline still set within the Arcadia world. It's also a great opportunity for a GM who is more comfortable with pre-booked, familiar faces at their table.
If you have any questions before pitching your Arc, feel free to DM Adrianna or ask in the GM discord chat.
What are we looking for?
- A 3-5 session storyline set it an existing Region, using the creatures and stories from that Region as a jumping-off point.
- Some great premises might be:
- Arcs that begin in Keystone and deepen players' relationships with city NPCs
- Arcs that pick up a Region storyline that was never resolved -- maybe a wandering boss got away!
- Arcs that are beginner player-friendly (Give us a year or two and we'll be actively seeking out Arcs for higher-level players!)
- Apart from common sense content restrictions, there are really no limits on what can happen.
- More emphasis on D&D elements such puzzles and roleplay than a drop-in session usually allows.
Submission Process.
Once you have your Arc idea, please submit it via the google form linked here . Please include preferred player levels and when you would like the Arc to run -- ideally it would be the same day every week. We'd like your FINAL submission at least 3 weeks in advance of the launch of the Arc.
Adrianna will get back to you with any questions or suggested changes and, once approved, will send a contract confirming your Arc's dates and specifics.
Elements of an Arc.
This is the final product we will ask for, though as always, happy to discuss options to find a format that suits you and your story.
- Agreed-upon number of Sessions that will run 3 hours each
- Spoiler-free summary of overall story for our website :)
