WorldEMBER Prep 2024

Week 1 - Pledge and Focus

I, HunterChristmas1247, pledge to do at least 10,000 words of worldbuilding for WorldEmber. For this pledge is a pledge of imagination and of writing.

Focus

I will focus on finishing articles to complete the building of my world. I will ensure each article is engaging to the reader by experminting and incorprating different writing styles to ensure people want to read it.
My second focus is to ensure my articles are presented the way I wanrt them to ensure the reading experience is up to snuff with my vision. This includes images and text boxes (containers and sections).
When my focus is on good worldbuilding and article presentation, I can then draw readers into my fictional universe and get them engaged so I improve. Although I can always improve!

Worldbuilding Focus

My worldbuilding focus is to finish all articles. Though not all aticles will be seen after the voting period, I want all articles to be on WorldAnvil. Some articles I can write are finshed. Baxter Baggs is the only article I can write the rest in secret because it contains spoilers (the rest, not what's published and visible now).
There are articles I can leave up to the public because I haven't finished all public articles. Partially because new ideas for articles, both public and articles with spoilers, have come to me.
For now, this part is more important to me. Just so I could do the other side. But new articles will be in different writing styles. It is harder to re-write than to write the first time.
I am able to plan writing first so I can improve the pages themselves with CSS and whatever else later.

This is my current list of articles that is way longer but is doing well for WorldEMBER. I did not include a few I am re-doing. These articles, Ancient Power Governmental Headquarters and four others beneath it, are being renovated in December. I dont expect renovations to take very long but the way my year has gone, it may take several decades to be fully renovated. (You can laugh!)

META

I'm going to be honest about the META. I dislike it, truly and simply. I'm not sure what it is or why but I am not using it and have no plans to use it in the future.
If I were to say why to not using it, it would be because I know where I'm going for my book/book series.
I woiuld be willing to sit down and go through it, maybe in 2025 after WorldEMBER and Resolutions Challenge.

Week 2 - Readers, Viewers and Homepage

I recently redid both of these (last year). And while I have checked them, it wasn't thorough. But I probably won't make changes unless my friends say something.

Community Tools

Other than follow button I have no community tools, but this something i will look into. Maybe my friends can help!

Week 3 - Inspiration

This week is all about being inspired to write some worldbuilding in December. After all, it is helpful to be inpsired to write although rest should be included as yopu can be inspired to write but if no energy then you have a bad combo.
While I won't say what has inspired me to write, I will say I have received inspiration from multiple sources.

Week 4 - Community

This week is all about being in a community to be advocates for productive writing sessions.
I tend to find my community through Twitch and YouTube. Mostly the writing and co-working streamers.
Writing Schedule is unknown because I'm open this year. I try to write whenever I can.
Community? Check!
Writing playlist? Check!
Writing schedule? Check!
Rest days before the big opening of WorldEMBER? Check!
Am I ready? HELL YEAH!!!!

Along with WorldEMBER, I am participating in the Stub Stompout Challenge.
"While we should all strive to keep stubs away far away from us, that doesn't always happen.
