Love
Said to be one of the most important ingredients of Christmas Magic, Love is one of the ideals which manifests throughout the season. It is a fifth of Christmas Magic. Although some say Love is half of the heart of Christmas Magic. The other is Hope. Faith is just the wrapping around the two.
Love is a connection Humans make with Nature, other Humans, and within themselves. It drives the essence of Humanity and Christmas Magic. It is has been here for millennia and shall be here for millennia to come.
Love cannot be seen but the ways we express love can be.
The Magic of Christmas shines through when a person selflessly helps Nature (the animals or the trees and plants). It can be any of the things below or even things not listed.
Tending to injured/dying animals, growing trees, caring for lost or dying creatures, adopting older pets, adoption, and learning what our planet needs are are just a few ideas for expressing love to Nature and therefore to Mother Nature and Goddess Gaea.
While giving thoughtful gifts is great and expresses love, Love is expressed in many more ways. Some pertain to children or the elderly. Most are for all ages though.
As Kindness is part of Love, helping people is an act of Love. This can be done in multiple ways. Making food for homeless people, donating old clothes or food or time or money to charity/worthy cause, visiting the elderly (esp. those without families) and interacting with them (playing games or listening to stories, ETC.), helping elderly people who own homes with chores like snow shoveling or walking animals or anything, visiting people in hospital, being there to listen, being a good friend, showing someone you care, adopting older children, allowing home to be a safe space for neighborhood children.
Love nurtures all relationships. Love brings people and the natural world together. Acts of love, big or small, strengthen the bonds we all share as residents of Gaia and as Humankind. When we show love through our actions, we cultivate an atmosphere of warmth and of unity and of harmony. This enhances the magical feelings that surround the season of Christmastide.
