Syn is a cybercriminal, drawn to probe and penetrate (heh) systems more so for the challenge then what they actually contain. Every network is a maze to traverse, every firewall just a zero day waiting to be discovered.
She messed with one too many financial entities and was subsequently tracked down, leaving behind her old tech and relationship. The tech she could replace by now but a long term partner she has yet to find.
Syn loves to talk to people about their interests and will usually drop whatever she is in the middle of for getting to know what people enjoy. Similarly she will ramble on about her discoveries and inventions to people that she likes, often trying to find ways she can accommodate or support those she likes.
