Erraff
Large and physically powerful sapients, the Erraff can be found throughout Galactic Enforcement Agency space and beyond.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Bipedal, with strong musculature and tough skeletons. Two large horns protuding backwards at an upward angle from just behind the ears. Powerful claws. Tendency towards a slightly hunched posture, capable of running on all fours. Approximately 7-8 feet tall on average (2.13--2.44 m). Weight usually exceeds 250 lbs (113 kg)
Genetics and Reproduction
Mammalian. Extremely prolific. Female Erraff go into heat twice per solar year.

Erraff achieve maturity at the age of 18, and can live to be 100+ years old
Ecology and Habitats
Originally evolved for alpine, cold-temperate forests and mountains, upon reaching sentience the Erraff adapted to a wide variety of climes. Their fur keeps them warm, but they are also capable of sweating and regulating their heat.
By nature, Erraff are predator/scavengers. They are technically omnivorous and usually supplement their primarily meat-based diet with berries, root vegetables and fruits.
Behaviour
As the dominant species on their planet, the Erraff have evolved to seek control and authority wherever they go, but also to respect the authority of others if they earn it. Erraff have a natural urge to dominate other living beings while simultaneously developing extremely loyal or intimate bonds.

Social Structure
On their homeworld, Erraff traveled in packs. Social structures within packs are very complicated; while strength and size are important, and it's typical for Erraff to challenge each other for leadership, a strong leader who makes poor choices, or acts cruelly towards the pack, will not last long.
This means that Erraff tend to fare poorly on their own. They like traveling in larger social groups, and it's very important for them to know who their people are. As long as they have these factors in place, Erraff can adapt to any social structure, whether it be a corporation, a military, a pirate crew or a family.

Semi-leonine facial features, with round eyes and white (usually) sclera.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
Originally evolved for low-alpine forests in a semi-cold, arid environment.

Erraff are both sentient and sapient. Their inherent size and strength gives them a reputation as dull brutes, but on average they are as intelligent as a human.

Fur colors on Erraff vary widely. "Cool" colors, such as greys and light blues, are fairly common, as well as dusky browns and darker shades. There are Erraff with naturally Crimson skin and many many others.
