Revolution

After the death of the Open Lord Ahghairon and the temporary disappearance of Khelben Arunsun, the city of Waterdeep was in a power vacuum. The heads of the city's various guilds all consider themselves as obvious choices for power and they used mercenaries to attack each other in the streets. After a few months, the guilds decided to rule together. In 1262 DR, this broke out in total bloodshed and all but two guildmasters were killed.
