There will always be things that need protecting, outlaws or enemies that need killing, or some other use of a fighter. Most traditional fighters not linked to any particular cause fall in this category.
Career
Qualifications
Fighters need to fight. Without being good at using a weapon, you won't survive long. Many would-be mercenaries miss this and don't survive their first mission.
Operations
Dangers & Hazards
Mercenaries expect every mission they take on to possibly the last thing they do. It's a sad fact of life for them that their job is to do the dangerous things other's won't do
