Haepthum

A powerful narcotic from the continent of Laerakond, far west of Faerun. It's extracted from a herb with the same name.
The drug has become popular in several cities along the Sword Coast as trade between the continent is growing. In particular, it is not that hard to get hold of in Waterdeep's Dock Ward.

Effects

Taken orally, the drug quickly induces a calm that helps the user ignore distractions for several hours. Instead, anything they focus on becomes extremely vivid to the point of seemingly coming alive. This might even result in hallucinations, but might let the user have an easier time visualising something.
Haepthum is addictive and very hard to to get clean from.
