Gond

God of Invention

Gond is the god of crafting, smithwork, tinkering, and invention. He is the patron deity of Lantan but can be found almost anywhere. Even oppressive nations find it useful to be on good terms with the god that might help them create new weaponry. He is considered part of the gnomish pantheon as well, sometimes known as Nebelun.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Besides the toothed, four-spoked cog wheel that is his main symbol, Gond is fond hammers and smoke as part of his symbolism. Favoured colours are saffron and crimson.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Together with Milil and Deneir, led by Oghma, Gond is considered one of the Deities of Knowledge and Invention. He tends to work equally well with others as long as they respect his work.   Mystra, in a previous incarnation, was quite sceptical of Gond as she felt that he was trying to make technology take the place of magic. But in truth, the God of Invention simply sees magic as a force of nature to work with as much as any other.
