Dashers

The Dasher is a common lizard-like creature found on Magmator. They get their name from their ability to dash across the lava's surface on their hind legs. Dashers have large rear feet and long toes that are equipped with fringes of skin-like scales that spread out to increase the surface area of their feet while running. These specially designed feet and incredible speed allow them to skim across the top and prevent them from breaking the surface of the lava.
Their skin is bright blue with intricate patterns, and it is a sight to behold when several of them dash across the lava.
They are the primary food source for Tundra Turtles and Magmatorians, who have tried a roasted Dasher, proclaim that it tastes just like chicken!
