Character Creation

Within this section you will find the steps to creating your character, and then in later sections, the information to flesh out the remaining details. Here in this section, we shall be dealing with the basics. Who are you? what is your name? what species are you? what gender? facial features?, and more. We will establish your baseline statistical information, along with your Profession and Focus within that professional field. Basically what caste of society you come from and what your specific job is. It is a d20 system, so the 20 level structure you may be familiar with will be very much present, just with a...slight alteration in form. What do you have in your possession currently, what basic abilities do you currently have, and of course, how much coin you are carrying. A few suggestive prompts/questions will round out this section in the article for background/backstory, basically to give you an idea of the sorts of things to maybe consider when coming up with a background/backstory for your character.

However as a baseline, for all players, regardless of any of the above information, it is presumed that anyone foolhardy enough or bold enough to choose to seek adventure and glory in Valerick has at least some basic level of competence and ability to defend themselves. All player characters are considered to have Training with Hand Weapons, and Light Armor.
