The Divine Peacemakers {Deat-Kra}

"We are the Divine Peacemakers. It is our duty to keep the peace between those under all the Ascended, and to safeguard us all against the cults of the foul ruined gods that would attempt to grow under our noses. We are the ones who do the most unforgiving and least glamorous of tasks. Holding our fellow sapients to account before their peers. For the worst cancers grow within, but it is the duty of all to be aware, and to stand in opposition to such acts. Just as it is our duty to investigate such activities. For if we abandon the way of proper open legal and civil discourse, we are little better than the beasts we stand to oppose."

Those whom follow the teachings of the Peaceful Judge see themselves as the protectors of peace and order, those whom have the divine purpose to keep civilized society unified. They are well schooled in legal procedure in every religion and every nation, and travel them freely with much respect. They never act as actual Judges, oddly enough, for they believe that part of Deat-Kra's parting wishes were to let the burgeoning nation states appoint their own internal justices and justice systems. No now, most act as legal counsel in courts of law or religious matters, some even offering their legal services for donation, or even for free, if they believe a case is going to have an unjust and unfair and improper outcome. Furthermore they also act as a check on many authorities, for they are not opposed to holding police, religious officals, or even Templars or Witch-Hunters to account for their actions. They are the last stop for the truly damned but innocent, or even for the guilty, seeking some sort of reprieve and fighting chance to avoid the worst punishments.

History

Divine Powers of The Divine Peacemakers

Domains: Every faith has domains, and these manifest in many ways. A priest or other religious figure so inclined to have such ability will actually be wielding power based on these domains as well as the unique powers listed here. The domains of Deat-Kra are; Order, Peace, Protection, and Unity. The domains do not change from 5e.

Divine Power: Those of strong enough faith and trusted by their dieties on Valerick can directly wield divine power, entrusted with it by their God/Goddess and heralds directly through prayer. Every diety offers these war hymns, prayers and litanies tucked away in the vast library of scriptures and hymns that come with religion as an institution. These should take form to fit the diety, especially limitations on summoning spells and their ilk, tied only to the realms, planes and domains that the diety controls or influences. But this is more a matter of roleplay than anything else.

Components and tools

Below is listed some information that anyone playing a character of faith whom worships Deat-Kra would know. Note when it comes to the Religious Ordos, that the three listed are not the only ones for their respective class, nor are they class exclusive. It merely is to note which of the three classes of those whom are blessed with Divine power you will find most frequently. In fact you don't need to wield Divine Power directly to be a member of the Ordos in any religion. Though you do to become any sort of high ranking official or leader.

Popular Holy Symbols: Gavel, Silver Halberd named 'judgement', Magnifying Glass
Most Notable Religious Ordos: Adjudicators (Templars), Recordis (Clerics), Inquisitors (Rangers)
Most Notable Holy Texts: The First Law, Hymns of Order, Recorded Cases of the Celestial Courthalls
Grand Temple/Seat of Power: Courts of Unity in the city of Haramir, in the nation of Kang-Chorath.

Participants

These three names given below again would be names well known to anyone of Boran the Bloodhound's faith, even if they've never met or seen any of these people, which is likely. They would know their names and positions.
Heads of the Cult: High Adjudicator Percival Mannistrom Von Castlemore the III: Human Templar, Head of the Adjudicators, 2nd in the power structure when it comes to rank. First Justice, Lady Mackenzie Dupont: Tantur Priestess, Head of the Recordis, Highest ranking official of the faith. Lord Inquisitor Victor Bellows: Tantur Ranger. Head of the Inquisitors and 3rd in the power structure.

Observance

Those whom worship Deat-Kra have the following tenets. Like all faiths on Valerick, one must consider their Ordos within that faith, their position as a Priest, Templar or Ranger, to understand how they might interpret these into a personal code of behavior and conduct that is the contract of faith between you and your god. However very broadly, here are the principles of the Divine Peacemakers;

1) Respect the Laws of all nations
2) Oppose Unjust Legislation whenever you have it cross your path.
3) Everyone deserves a day in court.
4) Anyone charged with a crime has the responsibility to testify in their own defense. Under Oath.
5) Always triple check the paperwork.
