Zagmira

The highest ranking red wizard remaining in Omu, Zagmira is an expert necromancer and manipulator. She has the appearance of a young mulan woman with a sallow complexion and a shaved head, but half of her face appears wizened and old. This effect isn't a disease, but a holdover from a ritual she performed to inhabit the body of her own granddaughter.
During the Death Curse, she had lead the Thayan expedition to search the lost city of Omu. They were charged with finding the Tomb of the Nine Gods, but failed. As a punishment for their failure, Valindra Shadowmantle prevented the survivors of the Omuan expedition from returning to Thay and charged them with maintaining a Chultan foothold for the Red Wizards in the region. Zagmira was placed in charge of the Chultan "enclave" and left to suffer in the jungle.
Instead of brooding in her exile, Zagmira has established several secluded outposts within the peninsula and has been conducting necromantic experiments on the undead of the jungle. She hopes that she may redeem herself in the eyes of Szass Tam by demonstrating that she is a valuable and loyal asset to him. She routinely gives her superiors in Thay updates and plans on going straight to the High Regent if she has a breakthrough in her experimentation.
