The Chultan Peninsula

Stretching out from the mainland of Faerûn far into the trackless sea, the Chultan Peninsula is a wild and untamed land filled with ancient secrets and lost ruins. This land has seen a great deal of upheaval in the last few centuries, largely due to the Spellplague. This cataclysm sunk much of the peninsula beneath the waves, but the land has rearisen in the years since the Second Sundering.
Since the events of the Death Curse, these wide and unexplored lands have attracted travelers, adventurers, traders, and every other sort imaginable. Many do not survive for long, but those that do carry back tales of golden cities and arcane treasures beyond the imaginations of most folk. These rumors of treasure and glory have led to a mercantile and adventuring gold rush in the region, one that many natives are not pleased with.
