Animal Messenger

A spell that allows a small animal to convey a simple message to a specific location. This spell is often used for communicating over large distances between druids and rangers. Though it seems strange, bards have also been seen using this spell to communicate with others.

Effect

Using this spell, the caster directs an animal to deliver a simple message to a specified location. The messenger covers a distance of 25 miles, or 50 miles if the creature can fly, over the span of 24 hours. When the messenger arrives, it repeats the message to a specified individual. But the message is lost if the spell duration expires.

The casting of this spell requires verbal and somatic components as well as a material component in the form of a morsel of food.
