The Faye and affinities - Being of Pure magic

The Faye are beings of pure magic, this constitutes the creatures of Evalaw who are not what most define to be 'mortal'. Mortal merely meaning those afflicted with a limited lifespan, from birth they are doomed to die, a fate they cannot escape. The Faye; beings of pure magic are not bound by such a fleeting and diminishing timeline on Evalaw. This longevity is due to their connection to the ethereal forces Evalaw was born from. They can naturally utilize and tap into the deep roots of magic that flow throughout the realm. This very intimate relationship the Faye have with the winds of magic themselves is what lets them feeling access magic from a young age.   The Faye were blessed by the Mother Goddess Shilina, with this affinity to the winds of Magic. Each Faye is born with a natural focus to a certain lore of magic. This affinity can be influenced by many different variables and circumstances can affect the affinity a Faye will be born into. At the most basic level an affinity is passed down through ones paternal bloodline, race or creed throughout the Faye. The season of birth or circumstance surrounding ones conception, time of year and position of the sun and moons also can affect it. Another factor can also be determined by the deity the parent may belong to that claim lordship over a certain race as a whole. But these do not completely dictate the outcome of a child's ability, sheer luck sometimes comes into the equation. Racial Creed of a Faye can also affect the affinity as well. Example; At a very base level it is highly unlikely a Ilz'rien light elf would be born with an aptitude toward Abyss, Chaos or Necrotic magic. However it is not impossible to later in life develop an aptitude toward another wind of magic, though its potency would be far more inferior to one born with it.
