The World Telegraph brings you breaking news from the Earth Kingdom

Today what started as a peaceful protest led a massacre. Earlier this afternoon Prince Ayato of the Si Wong Tribes organized a protest in support of his tribespeople at Full Moon Bay, where Chief Sai-Lun and Prince Belan were being held prisoner. Along with the tribespeople Ayato had brought with him, a small group of earth kingdom citizens also showed up in support of their cause. However, Queen Kyama also made an appearance and rallied a group of earth kingdom citizens with her. After an argument between Ayato and Kyama regarding the events at the previous Omashu summit, Kyama decided to speak with Sai-Lun to get the truth. The two groups boarded the ship where Sai-Lun and Belan were being held prisoner and Kyama spoke with them. While Belan and Ayato had expressed that they did not support their mother’s actions, Sai-Lun did not hold back and claimed that she wished she had killed Kyama. Kyama then executed Sai-Lun herself, despite Ayato and Belan begging her to have mercy. Following this the military attacked the entire group of tribespeople and a huge battle broke out. Aside from the chief’s death, nearly all of the tribespeople were slaughtered by the Earth Kingdom military. Only a few survived, including Ayato, Belan, and Ronah of Misty Palms. Belan remained in Earth Kingdom custody, and Kyama informed Ayato that she would offer him a final chance at peace if he would meet with her in Ba Sing Se. Who will be the one to end this cycle of violence and revenge?
