Vesrok Roatok

Previous Water Chief

Life

Vesrok Roatok was born and raised in the Southern Water Tribe. He was found near the icy wilds of the tribe by Yimuru and Noey Roatok. They adopted him, and raised him to the man he is today. Vesrok has a twin brother named Ziso, and from a young age, they were always bickering and competing over every little thing. Vesrok was always the more mature twin, and although this is the case, he was often labed as too stiff, and stern when it came down to the little things. Vesrok and his twin brother Ziso were very talented water benders at a young age. He along with his twin, were able to master bending at the young age of 13 with their friend Zurloq, and quickly joined the military as soon as they were eligible. Vesrok had a burning passion for the military at such a young age. He was always interested in the strategy, fighting, and everything else related to the military.

Vesrok and his brother often traveled from the Southern Water Tribe, to the Foggy Swamp Tribe, and even all the way up to the Northern Water Tribe to learn all forms of water bending. When traveling from the South to the Swamp, they met Maniluuq and Liuq, the founders of the Foggy Swamp Tribe. Liuq of the Foggy Swamp Tribe taught the brothers everything that they know about bending to this day. Mani acted as a big brother to Vesrok, and would always be there for him when he needed him. In his time at the Swamp, Vesrok met a lovely Shaman by the name of Maali. The two briefly met, but Vesrok, himself, knew that she was the one. Their time together was limited, for Vesrok had to continue his travels. Both Vesrok, and Maali kept in touch and would eventually meet again one day.

After weeks of voyaging, Vesrok finally made it to the Northern Water Tribe. Upon arriving, he was astounded by the beauty of the Great Northern Walls that protect the tribe. Vesrok fell in love with the Northern Water Tribe at first sight, and deep down he knew that he would one day call the North his home.

Soon enough, Vesrok and his brother returned to their home at the Southern Water Tribe. The two continued their military training, and soon enough were able to meet with Water Chief Ullaq and Elder Kiryu. Vesrok was honored to be given the opportunity to meet with the Chief and Elder. With time, Water Chief Ullaq and Elder Kiryu would play a major role in guiding Vesrok in his spiritual journey to become the best he can be. Weeks of training passed by, and one day, Vesrok and Ziso learned of some exciting news. The brothers were selected as the very first Wolf Warriors of the Water Tribe. The Wolf Warriors worked in the shadows in keeping peace between the nations, but more specifically the Water Tribes. They were tasked with many dangerous missions, whether it be through simple scouting, which eventually led up to global assassinations, it was for the Tribes. Ullaq and Kiryu allowed Vesrok to grow as a person and as a man. They taught him the ways of life in the Water Tribe, and acted as mentors and father figures to him.

In time, Vesrok and Ziso reached their peak as high ranking members of the military. Under the guidance of Admiral Liuq, the two were able to become Captains of the Northern and Southern/Foggy Swamp Tribes. Vesrok taught many of the new members water bending such as Deju, Mauja, Tido, Siqiniq, Jorika, and many more. One day, his mother, Northern Elder Noey contacted Vesrok. There was a letter sent to him asking for something big. Noey was asking Vesrok to move all the way from the Southern Tribe to the Northern Tribe in order to become her Advisor. This was a very tough decision for him, as he valued his Mother Yimuru in the South, just as much as he valued his Mother Noey. With guidance from his brother, Vesrok made the choice to leave the South behind knowing that it was in good hands with Southern Elder Yimuru and soon to be Southern Advisor Ziso. Making the decision was very hard for him. He wept for many days while traveling up to the North, but deep down he knew that he was going to be with his family regardless of where he was.

From there on, Vesrok lived a mostly quiet life. He was still active in teaching new members, and holding training sessions with the military. Vesrok would write to Maali daily, and she would write back to him. As advisor, Vesrok was able to assist his Mother Noey in her duties all around the Northern Water Tribe. A good amount of time passed, and eventually there was big change coming to the Water Tribe. After years in the spotlight, the Water Chief Ullaq, the past Avatar himself, stepped down. Chief Ullaq passed down his chiefdom to Vesrok’s Mother, Yimuru.

Today, The Water Tribe is under Water Chief Yimuru. Chief Yimuru brought upon many great changes to the Water Tribe. With Yimuru as Chief, it was only right that Northern Elder Noey became Chieftess Noey. With no more Northern Elder, Vesrok was eventually promoted to that position from Advisor. Vesrok is now the Northern Elder, and is Elder with his brother Southern Elder Ziso. The two brothers under Yimuru and Noey were able to bring great changes to the Northern and Southern
Tribes.

More time passed, and it was soon known that Vesrok and his brother had to resign from the military. The two gave up their position as Captains and focused on their duties as the Tribal Elders. When he was an advisor, Vesrok moved in this young girl named Aukaneck. When Vesrok became Elder, he appointed Aukaneck as his Northern Advisor. Aukaneck along with Councilmen Jorika and Pok would do amazing things for the Northern Water Tribe.

Vesrok and Maali eventually got married in the Northern Water Tribe, and still to this day live happily together. The two complement each other perfectly, and are able to accomplish anything together. Vesrok often jokes around with Maali despite his more serious attitude, and the two always have a great time when with one another. Vesrok still runs the Northern Tribe as the Elder with his advisor. Although this is the case, Vesrok’s mother Yimuru soon mysteriously falls fatally ill. With the illness coming upon her, Yimuru appointed Vesrok as the Regent Water Chief as she takes time to heal both spiritually and physically. Vesrok does his best to keep the peace and prosperity within the tribes while his mother recovers.

To this day, Vesrok is still the Regent Chief of the Water Tribe, filling in for his mother as she takes time to care for herself. Vesrok has accomplished various things, but the most important to him is the relationships that he has made with each and every one his friends. He strives to continue to make change all throughout the Water Tribe, and hopefully one day, all throughout the world. Vesrok is capable of doing a lot by himself, but he truly would not be able to do anything without help from his dear friends.
