Brutes live by a simple creed - strength builds strength. This muscle bound ideology makes them excellent front line enforcers. Master Butchers Brutes are often looking for the freshest cut of meat to sell on the market. Some of the most rare creatures can be found hiding within the Endless Maw, and Brutes will pay explorers handsomely if they can return with such rare delicacies. Brutes love nothing more than punching meat, whether dead or alive. As a trade, being the premiere butchers in Hope’s Edge is much safer than putting their bodies in harms way daily. This isn’t to say that they won’t take the most dangerous jobs around. They do! The fact is that at the end of the day, the Brutes you typically see are ones working in the relative safety of the slaughterhouse, and not the ones out in the wastelands or deep in the Endless Maw at the end of some Ogre’s pike. Rikdref Fireblood, a 47 year old fire giant, has short red hair, red eyes, red skin and stands 19'3" tall and has a massive build. He has a piercing on his right ear and smokes a pipe frequently. Unlike many giants, he is very slow to anger. This betrays his nature as the leader of such a forthcoming faction. He has been known to walk around Hope’s Edge seeking smart opponents to play various games of skill, such as chess and cards.
