Who is Korbal?

A tiefling deity that is regarded by many in Auriga as being a selfish and dark god... was discovered to be tied to Valyrhn in a time long before.   The Book of Korbal was discovered in a corner room of Blue House of the Knight's Magi in Portus, under the care of Sire Fallon, his apprentice Gheston, and a fellow knight, Lenadora. Investigating the area for missing items as well as the presence of a ghost, the group split up to investigate with Vasya and Gideon finding a book that called to them. Unable to resist, Vasya leaned forward and read the words on the page suddenly finding herself drawn in while her thornwolf companion, Terra, began barking and Gideon unable to move her.   When both he and the monk, Arel, tried to move her away from the book, she began snapping and fighting back at them, even ordering Terra to attack them as she fought to finish the words on the pages. It wasn't until she finished reading the words that she seemed to calm and snap out of whatever it was that seemed to possess her. However, imprinted in her mind was name of Korbal.   After traveling back to the Kasari after her thornwolf Terra began to feel ill and sickly, Vasya seemed to find herself easily able to understand creatures until eventually, she realized that she could simply speak to all animals.     Figuring out where they could gain more information on the deity, Reylan pushed the group to sail to Darkfalls and pursue the leads there as well as make a name for themselves along the way.   On a stop to Astraeus Falls at the Temple of Rest, Vasya learned that many defaced the symbol of Korbal, a plate of alms with the sigil of the god in the center and while the Temple were reserved in their judgment of who prayers were sent to, they did warn Vasya of what prayers were said.   Upon reaching the library at Darkfalls, Vasya found a more complete Book of Korbal and read of what the historians wrote of the deity.   Upon meeting the Lehavor family, she asks them about knowledge related to the god and while there is no judgment, there was also not much more information that they could give her other than the Great Temple of Korbal lay in the Dragon's Spine, west of Vellaria.
