The Order of the Knights Magi

Known as knightly mages who seek to keep the peace between the peoples and mages, this order is actually the remnants of fallen nobility who once had a high place in the High Mageocracy era. In the early years of Mage Fall, those who sought to continue tradition of their fallen status did so with a code and with honor dubbed "knightly" in their efforts and earning the eventual name of "Knight Mage".

When troubles between mage and common folk arise, a Mage Knight is called upon to resolve any and all issues and ensure a stable relationship moving forward. However, this is not the sole purpose of the organization. They have also resolved to provide training to those wild arcane talent as well as provide discipline to any and all that seek to learn the circles of magic with a goal of protection. Now versatile though rarer than they were in the early years of the era, the Knights Magi continue to 

Currently

The earliest mention of a Knights Magi was by the Lady Arabella who had arrived seeking a lost artifact having portalled in via the Blue House which belonged to an "old friend". Seeking knowledge and perhaps a bit of coin, the party- unnamed at the time- approached the Blue House and sought an audience with the knight himself who introduced himself as Sir Fallon, though managed to fool some with a slight minor illusion to make himself a bit younger. After completing a task set forward to them and passing what seemed to be a test, Fallon gifted the Mark of the Blue House to the party allowing them access to Knight Magi facilities as well as the portals that connected them all-- stating that he had his own reasons for helping them. This is never revealed to the party as the next news they hear of him is his unfortunate death from a close associate of his, Bruu.

Besides Sir Fallon, an orc wizard, by the name of Bruu, came to the assistance of the party after meeting and discussing his mission with Vasya. Revealing that he was trying to help save the folk of the United Realm, he enlisted the group to perhaps set up a meeting with higher ups in the area and suggests that they begin to find homes amongst the world that would be enough to house varied parts of the population. Eventually hiring the crew of the Blue Falcon to ferry the group around, Bruu delivered the news of Fallon's death as well as what the party could do next as he and Valen took Reylan's suggestion to take a portal into the Confederated States and make their way to Darcanis with her tokens.  

As of the current state of things, Fallon was revealed to have been alive due to Ghestin's alchemical skills which led her to discovering a secret message meant for her which sent her on a path separate of the party and towards what she hopes would be the truth to what happened to her former wizard master. Bruu is currently working with Darcanis and keeping tabs on Valen who is currently garnering favor within the Confederated States.

History

Those that would eventually rise into the Order of the Knights Magi were well known in their time as an organization with a different name whose existence has been lost to time and the fall of the era.
