Nyx a.k.a Inyxsorael

A black Darcani pseudodragon that goes by the name of "Nyx" is Reylan's familiar, bound to her for safety by the Create Familiar spell.
He can be used as a conduit and channeler of Reylan's touch spells and can be seen visibly changing when assisting her, showing off a pair of glowing bright white-blue eyes with what looks to be a constellation appearing on his chest.

Personality & History

Whenever he is free, he enjoys sightseeing the new world around him and in bad weather, he likes reading as he was originally a keeper in the Towered Libraries of Darcanis. As keeper, he prided himself in guarding one of the more interesting and understudied topics of history and was very particular about how his section looked and how books were to be treated.
As a keeper, and besides the librarian, he had only ever let four people in to his section without visible annoyance or warning sounds. However, since bonding with Reylan and her friends including Reylan's mentor, Ellana, the dragon has become more sociable and amicable, even rather playful with those he can understand. He regards himself as a very good judge of character and doesn't typically linger around anyone that he doesn't like (and is known to sting them).
He has since learned to like each member of the party: Gideon for his honesty, Vasya for her caring attitude and even Terra for his boldness and ability to fight, Valentine for his unpredictable wit, and Tetran for his conversation. He is still getting used to Lix, but seeing as how she is mostly in her mech, the pseudodragon hasn't had much time to evaluate her. He very much enjoys hanging around with the crew of the Blue Falcon and can be seen around each of them but most notably, Solanos, Caspian, and Jolly-- occasionally, he can be seen playing with Daro, the Captain's blue falcon, and watching over Devona, Willux, and even Raven.
He loves food especially pastries and meat-- very similarly to Reylan. However, ever since becoming a resident on the Blue Falcon, he now has a love of fish and has since learned how to catch his own from Daro though his love for the food can be traced to the dried fish treats fed to him by Solanos. He would say he likes alcohol too, but Reylan doesn't like that he does and Solanos has to sneak the dragon a small cup occasionally.
The longest that Nyx has been away from Reylan after being bonded to her was during the party's first trip to Barisea. When the plan needed to be changed as information was being learned, Nyx had to fly back to the Falcon alone which had been waiting for them along the shore and relay the change of rendezvous to the port town of Portus. He was away from Reylan for a total of three days, one spent in flight and the rest spent with Solanos who he had trusted and liked-- and who knew the best scritching spot on him immediately!
Ever since the Wayfinders took up temporary residence on the Falcon, he has his own tiny nesting nook in Solanos's room which has since been moved to the large bookcase that Reylan bought when she commissioned furniture for the room in Batun, effectively moving into the captain's quarters for the duration of the party's stay.

Enhance Familiar

His second form when Enhance Familiar is used is that of a large metallic-like black dragon-- a form only fully realized when in a panic to save Solanos, the tiny pseudodragon urged Reylan to utilize the new spell. Over the course of the next couple weeks and months, Nyx found that he kept his telepathy but only a ranged version of it and could now speak Draconic in this form though he does still maintain his understanding of both Draconic and Common.
In regard to different forms, he actually likes being in his big dragon form when it means that he is able to fight off things that can attack the others as he now sees why the bigger form is needed. However, he loves his original form in order to curl up with his friends and be able to read as well.
