Appearance And Character
The woman with silver hair and deep lavender eyes is a striking figure to behold. Her eyes are arresting, always seeming to hold a twinkle of mystery and intelligence.
Her skin is an interesting contrast to the light of her hair and eyes. Though dark and sun-kissed, the lithe frame suggests agility and grace, but the muscular tone ; shows a strength that should not be underestimated. This woman is beautiful and power personified.
History
]Introduction
Over the lands held in waste and ruins. One created by the Dothraki themselves. They were formidable and not to be underestimated. But it wasn't just them that laid waste to the once beautiful city. One man who didn't bother to listen .. until it was too late. A woman stood covered in a cowl as she motioned to the land. Next to her stood a mage. One of many over the last 12 years. She had grown an attachment to the mage when she was 12. After that she had made sure she never got too close. They never stayed long enough these days to do so.. She tilted her head as she sighed looking over the ruins of Mhysa Faer. "This is ... well.... was Mhysa Faer. I was born here. The city of the most colors you would ever see. The people were exceptional. Thriving. Beautiful in every way. The buildings were vivid. Pink hues .. you don't see things like this anywhere. But it was also the city that didn't have a dragon to watch over them. We did our best. I like to hope we have. To protect these people. But we were too complacent and secure in our power that we believed they would be safe. " she looked at the mage. "Never ever believe you're safe. For when you do? That's when your enemies will know when your guard is down"
She continued speaking of the history "by the time the Valcoran leader arrived with his family and their dragons laying waste to the Dothraki. They'll never underestimate us again. But it was too late. Not only innocents have died. Not only those I went and ran with and played with died. The Mage that stayed behind. Gave his life .. so that the Archon would bring his dragons. If it weren't for you Mages. We would have nothing. Dragon lords have dragons. Mages are not to be underestimated. So remember this always. I pray .. this never happens again. '' she said, patting his back.
The Mage would look to her tilting his head. "Tell me your story. " And Jaesyn would look at him as she pulled her cowl back. Eyes of bright purple in the brightness of the overcasted day, that seemed too clear at times. Some would think they were silver. At night they'd assume it was deep purple. She looked once more up at him with a gentle smile. "My story .. '' Her silver hair danced in the wind as she reached up, securing it into a braid. Remembering the days that came and went after the fall of Mhysa Faer. How it all changed the sweet little girl who was destined to simply be a lady of exceptional standing and marry wherever she's pointed. Instead .. the whole ordeal changed her path.
The Fall of Mhysa Faer - The start of it all
When Mhysa Faer fell. She was only 12. Having just left with her family to visit the other Valyrian Freehold. She had often looked back feeling as though .. she was never going to return. When the harrowing news came later that night. The family stood devastated. Angry. Pained. There were no words to describe the level of anguish that filled them. The voices a child heard through the doors. A man so angry said "If he had listened sooner! Mhysa Faer would still be standing. " But it wasn't until her father said "The Mage gave his life .. to reach them .. and they came. Too late " It was then she knew what they all lost.
Those were the words that stuck to Jaesyn since then. The reminder of her mentor. Who had been a staple in her family years upon years before she was even a thought; had perished. He protected what he could with his life. It was then it fueled her determination to one day become a leader. In honor of her father and those that depended on them. To always come when called for protection. It stuck with her all those years. The one who made the decision to spurn her family's pleas for a dragon. And themselves for being complacent in believing they were strong enough. No one would dare cross their army. For it was in her opinion and from her understanding what she overheard. It was his decision that caused the demise of the city and its occupants.
Time would flow. Year after year Jaesyn would diligently train and learn the art of battle. The art of politics. The art of diplomacy. She would train to ride passengers upon the dragons with their dragon lord. To adapt her skill to protect the rider and Dragon while in the air. Adept with the bow. Twin blades and a sword. Her favorite was using her twin blades which afforded her deadly hands with her dexterity and quick movement.
Over the years with reading and writing, learning as best she could to hone her skills with the pen. She'd seek out tutors who would speak other languages simply for learning’s sake. But she wanted to learn out of respect for their culture. Being that valyrian was her native tongue. She attempted to learn Rhoynar and not at all fluent just the important words to respond in kind. Still she kept the translators close. Last thing she wanted was to say the wrong thing and start a war. She knew knowledge was power. Many who knew Jaesyn would never take the risk of leaving innocents unprotected. If a skirmish was about to overtake a town or whatnot that was in her family's perview she would not hesitate to take up the lead or Join their military to aid and support. She was never afraid to be the support or the grunt. They all had to start somewhere. Never was she afraid to admit where she was wrong and learn.
She had dreams of being a dragon lord but knew that was something that may never happen. She always watched every ceremony she could with the bonding of dragons to their dragon lords. If they needed protection she would offer it. Especially to house Aerygreon. For they had taken her family under their wing. For now she 'd do her best to follow in her father's footsteps.
Jaesyn; behind all the visage of being a noble warrior. Was a gentle noble lady through and through. Gentle thoughtful. Oftentimes so thoughtful that she would watch people in silence. As if she could tell what they were planning or thinking. Everyone did things in a way that set them into categories. They were .. predictable. But would she exploit it? No it wasn't in her to be dangerous in that way. Intelligent. Intelligence is usually evident in the way she went over things. How she carefully thinks things through. Intelligent enough .. she never gives away to her thoughts of what might really be brewing under that facade. Politics. She took great joy even being in political standings and listening and aiding her father who was one of the several Archons. She learned through him the meaning of leadership. What the weight was upon those shoulders. That no matter how heavy the burden. -No matter how small our shoulders are. We will endure and carry the weight with dignity and honor.-
While she knew she had an image to uphold. She had to be objective. She had to be strong. And a step ahead without it being obvious. No one ever knew just how deep her grudge was against the Valcoran family patriarch. No one would surmise under all that finery was the heart of a warrior and leader.
Through learning her mother had finally taken the reins to remind Jaesyn where she stood. As a woman. The importance of her well being and her status. She was reminded that even under all the blood grime and baring weapons. She had to remember there was another battleground for her to hone her skills upon. Reminder that one day she will be called upon to marry. Her goal was to be useful to her father and family and that there be no need to marry her off. She wanted to leade the house Vibius and hoped to one day be the strongest. But deep down she knew full well..... whatever her father chose. She would honor it. Without hesitation.
Conclusion
As she tells the story of her upbringing. She looks at the Mage with a small smile. "for now? We do what we can to protect not just the people under us. The dragons above us. And the Mages by our side. We protect what makes us Valaryians. A reminder that this ... " she motioned to Mhysa Faer ... "Should never happen again. " She further explained her goal. “We must protect everything or we risk being destroyed as a whole. We … could cease to exist be it by nature .. be it by extermination. Be it by our own greed and desire for power and lands.“
