Umbra Drakk Awakening
Large beasts of wood and moss come before another, they stand surrounding him bestowing him food, water, and other essential foods. He stands tall, burned and charred lines across his bark-like skin. He goes to the Paragon of The Den, looks down, kneels and then stands being gifted a staff. The staff has great meaning to the Asleep, the Paragon of The Den then tells of a story that had sacred meaning to them.
History
This tradition has been dated back since the Umbra Drakk had been living. Every 100 years they celebrate the growing of one and send them out to experience the true powers of the Wild Wood. They keep this tradition very guarded because of the powers of the wood can grant more than just Lunar magicks it can grant much more.
Execution
The "birthday" begins with the nightly forest awakening the Umbra Drakk before any else in the colony. It calls the name of the awakened over and over throughout the "day". Throughout the early night, the awakened will start to get symbols and tattoos over their body that symbolize their personality. The powers that surround the asleep, or unawakened Umbra Drakk , will slowly infuse them via personality symbols and tattoos.
Components and tools
The Paragon of The Den will bestow a gift to the Asleep. The gift will be of value to both and will help in the Rite of Passage. The Asleep will leave something to remember them by as an anchor to guide through the forest. Other tools are minor, food, a totem, bedding stuff, clothes for a day or two, and a small den pet to help them, these will all be given by the others of the den.
Participants
All in the den come together to celebrate the Awakening of an Asleep. The Asleep will keep the remaining routine of their day but at dusk, the Asleep stands in the center of their den, and the gifts are bestowed before the Asleep heads off into the Wood.
Observance
The Rite happens when the Umbra Drakk comes 100 years of age. The Eldest Awakened that is more connected to the forest can perceive what is happening to the Asleep, it is very small glimpses, or small details of the process.
