Do you not see? These Mists, the only way to make it let us go is the stop worshiping the false Gods and return to the old ways!
In all fourteen of the Realms, there are those who look at the Void Mists and worship it. They see the Mists as a sign of the true Gods that have come to strike down the false Gods that have risen from the ashes of the old worlds. What these 'old worlds' are is not clear to most.
Beliefs
The Worshipers of the Mists, or Misters, believe that the Void Mists that surround and cut off the Realms are caused by the true Gods in order to cut off the influence of the false Gods, the Gods currently worshiped in the major religions.
They categorize the Mists by differences, saying each one is caused by a different God, resulting in their pantheon having nine different Gods instead of the twelve gods of the common pantheon. They see Lost Walkers as the avatars of their nine Gods, as they have been seen to walk into the Mists and reappear elsewhere unharmed.
What old ways? What are these ways you speak of? These are the old ways!
Issues
Unfortunately, instead of merely preaching and living with the major religion, a large portion of the Misters believe that the only way to rejoin the Realms with the rest of their worlds is to kill the false Gods, resulting in conflict with the others.
The Misters attack and destroy many shrines and temples of the Gods, causing them to be classified as a danger to the people since they don't care about any not part of their cult.
There are ways even older then these, Gods even greater then our false ones. We must return to them, for it is the only way to be freed from these prisons.
