The Compendium of Final Realm Fauna & Flora is an ever expanding book to record the various creatures and plants in the Final Realm. As the Final Realm is the least explored and most dangerous of the connected Realms, the Compendium is constantly being re-released with updates.
Copies of the Compendium are sold cheap, as they are financed by the main Adventurers' Guild in the Final Realm, Cait Monarch. Because of this, Compendiums are often used to not only educate, but also to teach literacy, especially in other languages, as they are published in all fourteen languages.
Purpose
The Compendium is meant to give any who seek to explore or settle the Final Realm an idea of what, exactly, to expect outside the capital's walls. It contains every part of the explored Realm, split into sections with images of both creatures and plants, as well as descriptions of both what they can do and how deadly they are.
By having the most up-to-date Compendium, both adventurers and settlers are able to stay safe in the wilds of the Final Realm. As not all of the Void Mist has not been mapped, the Compendium is ever growing and changing.
It is to be noted, however, that Lost Walkers do not normally contribute to the Compendium, in part because of the lack of communication but also because they don't appear to be aware of it's existence. In recent months, members of the various Adventurers' Guilds have discovered that they can pay them to protect explorers that wish to map and expand the knowledge of the Final Realm.
