Milil's Roar

K'ul Goran is a land of winds. As a land of the arts, K'ul Goran is also a land of music.   Long ago, when K'ul Goran was still a young nation, and conflict with neighbours was rife, an aerotaur named Dausame served Milil, god of song, as a crafter of musical instruments. Particularly, she focused on instruments for the armies of the land - trumpets to call orders, drums to march to, and the like.   Such was her devotion that as K'ul Goran faced a particularly vicious conflict with hobgoblins and drow, her prayers to Milil were rewarded with a vision - a great pipe organ that could control the winds of K'ul Goran and wield them in unstoppable song.   Dausame worked tirelessly from that moment on - bringing metal from Maray in the north, the natural pipes of the braka mutha'an from the south, materials from all across the land together in her workshop. Each keyboard was to be coated in the finest pearls from the sea to the west.    As the frame of the organ took shape she began carving intricate designs across the entirety - prayers to Milil, musical runes to seal in the magic that was being channeled through her. Those who saw Dausame in this time drew away in fear and respect as it was said that her eyes glowed with a bright white light and music followed wherever she walked.   Finally, it was completed - a pipe organ with sturdy wheels beneath it to allow the instrument to be moved across battlefields. Everything was engraved - from the pipes to the keys to the stops to the frame - with spells and incantations, blessings from the god of music. Milil's Roar it was to be known, and as Dausame lay her fingers on the keys as she looked across the hobgoblin hordes, she knew that K'ul Goran would be unstoppable.   The music of the Roar could summon tempests. It bent the winds that swirled across the land and focused them to Dausame's will, turning musical expression into powerful force. As long as the organ played, no army could stand against them. And that was how Milil's blessing protected K'ul Goran in its fledgling days.   After Dausame's eventual death, the organ was lost, not seen again. Though many believed it would one day resurface in a time of great need to defend K'ul Goran once again.
