Kings Guard
Composition
Manpower
The Kings Guard is an elite group of warriors and guards used to protect member of the Royal House and occasionally the Loyal Houses as well.
The Kings Guard consists of 100 known members. The group is never to exceed 100 members and any additional security that is needed must be brought in from the Lion Guard.
Weaponry
The Kings Guard is one of the few military and security forces allowed to use guns. They reserve the right to use whatever weaponry is deemed necessary to protect their assignment.
Vehicles
The vehicles used by the Kings Guard include a wide selection. Armored SUVs are the most common and are used for protected transport.
Structure
Lorde Commander - 1
Not to be confused with the Lorde Commander of the Valkyries. The Lorde Commander is in charge of everything regarding the Kings Guard.
Grand Major - 1
The Grand Major, oftentimes just called the Major, is in second in command.
Sargent
Sargents are the communication points between the two above positions and the lower positions. They also tend to work as spies within the Kings Guard for the two higher ranks.
Captain - 10
Captains are the ones who approve the plans created by lieutenants.
Royal House members can typically choose which Captain is in charge of their protection.
Lieutenant
Lieutenants are responsible for the majority of the planning in regards to protecting their assignments. They will plan routes, vehicles to be used, weapons needed, emergency routes, asses threat risks, and the like.
First Class Private
A first-class private typically oversees the second-class privates in their work, but they also are required to maintain more detailed records of everyone beneath them.
Second Class Private
A second-class private is the bottom of the Kings Guard. They are typically responsible for the majority of the grunt work such as securing an area or travel route given to them, washing and maintaining vehicles, shopping, cleaning of the base, and other mundane work. While they are members of the Kings Guard, they are not fully trusted.
Training
Training to join the KingsGuard consists of several tests and training periods.
A three-month-long period consisting of building up physical pain tolerance, elemental and man-made. The trainees are put through daily exercises as well as lite torture methods used in interrogations. They are tested to better understand their own pain limits.
A four-month-long period consisting of harsh wilderness survival training and team building exercises. The trainees are observed and graded for a number of things including who becomes the leader, how many skills they accumulate, their role within the group, conflict resolution skills, bravery, leadership quality, and others.
A two month long trial to determine emotional weaknesses and to strengthen them. This period consists of solitary confinement, sleep deprevation, simulated drowning, and other emotional challenges.
A review of family history is done to determine if there will be potential future problems regarding family. Canidates without any family are regarded as suspicious whereas candidates with too much family as regarded as unreliable. The best balance was to have a few non close family members.
