Reflections of the Raven Lord
The only reason why I'm even managing doing a decent job at this is that I used to be an Overseer and that I have access to this book. How those poor folks not having any of these would even know where to begin is beyond me.
Reflections of the Raven Lord is a huge tome, securely stored in the office of the Raven Lord of the Ravenous Ravens. It contains the collected knowledge and experience of all the Raven Lords to date.
Purpose
The purpose of the book is simply to make sure the experience of each Raven Lord doesn't get lost through the ages. As the Raven Lords all work in a lot of secrecy, the transferral of experiences from the past holders wouldn't be possible without a book like this.
History
Most Raven Lords have been adding to this book as they encounter situations that are new and unknown. Every single one of them has experienced how helpful it is to have a book like this, so helping the future leaders of the Ravenous Ravens is just being decent and done as a kind of thank you for the past leaders.
Every new Raven Lord will write in their own style. Where some are courteous and polite in their writing style, others are more harsh and vulgar. Some write detailed reports of the events they're writing about, others just share snippets of wisdom whenever they think of something that might be useful. Some don't even bother to write anything at all.

I decided to start this book as I wish I had one when I started out as a Raven Lord. The intention is to make a book where we, the Raven Lords, can share our experiences with the next generations by writing them down with an explanation of what we did in challenging situations. This is therefore my invitation to you, whomever reads this as the future Raven Lord, to read through and seek the wisdom of those who came before you. If there is no solution to your problem somewhere in these pages, please add your specific problem and how you solved it to a new page in this book. This is to help those who come after us. This is a hard job, after all, and the Gods know we'll need all the help we can get. Not all of us got the luxury of being an Overseer first, and will therefore lack a good source of instructions from a former Raven Lord. Just remember that all challenges are unique, so use your own judgment when finding your best solution to your problem. What worked for someone else might not work for you.

1893What to do if another Lodge Leader threatens to take your place?
I do hope my decision to let the Plainsfeather Lodge deal with their own troublemaker won't cause too much trouble for you guys. I don't know what to do about that.
1963Seriously, you expected the Plainsfeathers to fix a problem at this size themselves? No wonder you got killed in an easy mission. Well, good news is that they did fix it themselves, bad news is they used seventy years to do it!
I was just about to take matters into my own hands when they fixed it as well. Great way to feel welcomed into the role as Raven Lord by getting this shite dumped into your lap, eh?
This is two days after the last entry. The Plainsfeathers messed this up again. They had the Dragon locked up and ready to get wing-clipped. You'd think they'd be unable to make any mistakes then, right?
Wrong!
They let a former Lodge Leader escape his wing-clipping.
What did we learn from this?
If a Dragon-sized problem ever shows up again, make sure to wing-clip that bastard yourself. Now I'll have to hunt him down, putting Nightfeather issues on low priority until I've cleaned up this mess.
Snippets of life advice from Oci
(Became Raven Lord in 2063)2064 Don't fall in love with your Overseer. The constant worry about their safety will bring you stress. 2073 If you DO fall in love with your Overseer by mistake, DO NOT get children. If you thought worrying about your very capable Overseer was bad, imagine worrying about a helpless child.
It WILL bring you stress.2087 Don't get too involved with royalty. It will only bring new levels of stress. 2088 I repeat: Do NOT get children. Teenage Daughters and the life of a Raven Lord doesn't mix well. It will bring all the stress.
Just trust me on this.2093 When you thought having a child was stressful enough, just wait until your child falls in love. Will probably never sleep restfully again. Repeat after me: Do NOT get children as a Raven Lord.
