Sword of Storms

The Sword of Storms is a unique weapon that allows the bearer to control the weather at sea. When the sword is inserted into the helm of the ship it enhances the speed and maneuverability. The sword also possesses the ability to cast 9th level lightning bolt 3 times per day. 
The Valhalla is one such ship that contains a slot for the sword on its helm wheel. 
Atlas is the current holder of the sword and because of it he has been able to evade multitudes of pirates, save an entire fleet from disaster, and even used it to flood a sacred forest preventing it from being burnt down in a wildfire.
Legend tells it that only the holder of The Sword of Storms can sail to the The World Spire unscathed, because of this capability Atlas makes pilgrimage to The World Spire once per year.
The Sword of Storms was forged by the keeper of The World Spire and only by using the power from the nine other spires was he able to infuse it with such great power. The sword was given a crossguard in the shape of a lightning bolt. The pommel inset with a sapphire that appears to be internally sparking, if you look close enough it appears to contain a miniature thunderstorm. The grip is comprised of small blue dragon scales. The blade is made of adamant and features engravings of the various seasons.
