Eye of Terra Saud

Terra had gouged out her own eyes when she saw the twisted and gnarled form her husband had taken. Most know of this tale, and many believe without a doubt that it is fact. They would know of the dagger that she dropped at her feet as she walked away from her love, and some of them would seek this divine weapon out. There are fewer who believe that only one of Terra's eyes was mutilated and that the other eye fell from its socket after dangling there during her journey, useless but still attached. To the gods, this discarded organ would be of no use, but to mortals this eye could do a great many things. If a mortal were to possess this they may be able to understand the olde magicks of nature, find portals to other planes, understand the vastness or nature's wisdom, and even create bonds with plants, animals, and the fey that watch over them.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The eye may shrink or grow in size to fit into the palm of whatever creature finds it. It appears to be a blue glass orb with some designs on it that resemble an eye, such as circles representing an iris and pupil. The is also a small protrusion at the back of the eye which does not appear to be glass, but instead petrified wood. The wielder may hold the eye up to their own to see portals or extra-planar pathways. Having the eye in one's possession will grant them the power to speak and even influence plants, animals, and fey. This also has a charming effect on elves, as Terra had gone to war with the orc and goblin gods to protect the elves that resided in Garlen long ago. To fully take advantage of the eye's powers and gain knowledge and ancient magicks of nature one would need to cut out their own eye and place Terra's Eye in the bleeding socket.
It is a part of a god and is therefore incredibly difficult to be destroyed.

Significance

This item could aid mortals in unlocking ancient power and knowledge as well as unlock paths across planes. There is a claim that her son may reward any who find it and bring it to him, while his father would slay those in its possession. He would do so in a fit of rage assuming they had somehow taken it from her. She has little use for the eye and does not want
