To whoever in charge of the Venztorian Empire...

It is no secret in Geville how the Venztorian Empire has taken more and more land from the surrounding countries. It is also no secret that a letter, sent by the Watcher, was sent from the northern countries to "whoever was in charge" of the Empire. The threat was made clear and Venztor has not quarreled with those countries in the north.   The Watcher is unknown, but they hold enough clout with those in Meroha, Pateti-alay, and Faumob that the people there trust the word of an unknown face.

Purpose

The Venztorian Empire has steadily grown, taking land from its neighbours without causing full out war. Successfully taking land in the west from Azni-alay, this threat was sent to keep the hellens from expanding to the northwest.

Historical Details

Public Reaction

This letter was not meant to become public, but the contents were spread before the letter was delivered, making the government of Venztor unable to pretend they had not seen it. While the crostrus and hellen citizens of the empire did not care, the neufiske of the north celebrated it. It appeared they knew the Watcher, even though the empire was unable to determine who or what this meant.

Legacy

More than the letter itself, the public reaction carried weight. Venztor has not broached Meroha's border. They have kept good yet cautious relations with there, Pateti-alay, and Faumob. While the citizens of Venztor do not appear interested in this, the other three countries involved have speculated whether one or two in charge of Venztor had met their end from the Watcher, protecting them from an incursion.
