Fusion Condition in Octisafell | World Anvil
Welcome to Octisafell!

Fusion

Fusion is a disease caused by a plant blight known as Fuse that binds to rice. Rice is a ubiquitous part of the diet for everyone in Octiragrin. Octiragrin imports most of its rice from Dronigath. About 20% though comes via the Fire Silk Road. Healers are puzzled by the advent of this condition. Until very recently, there had never been such a disease. Everyone is at a loss as to where this could have originated. The mages of Octiragrin have begun to look to Dronigath as its source. Growing the most rice on the continent, makes them the logical culprits. The healing mages are beginning to realize that it's not actually the rice which is a fault, but the magical parasite that has been fused to it. Hence the name, Fuse. Tests are now starting to be devised to find out how the fusing works and how it can be reversed. This is a primary project of the yellow mages at Octischolarus Magus at this time.

Transmission & Vectors

Fusion develops when Fuse is ingested as the rice is consumed.
