Olivia Jin Detention Center

The Olivia Jin Detention Center is a holding center recently built in eastern Ethion to house possible enemies of the state.

History

In 1960, Ethite leader Chitaa Solosol had the facility built as part of her Make Ethion Burn Bright initiative. Citing historical figure Olivia Jin, Solosol claimed that people have been trying to bring down Ethion for years and it is important for the nation to protect itself. Therefore, she established a new task force to route out possible spies and terrorists. Any Ethite citizen
Pelan are not citizens
who believes they know of such people can report this to an enforcer on the task force. People who are suspected of such crimes are temporarily detained in the facility until the task force is able to determine the truth behind the allegations.

Facility

The facility is state of the art. Though it has a high fence around it with magical wards to ensure that detainees cannot escape, each person has their own apartment and are involved in community building activities led by the task force to ensure tranquility and improve attitudes towards Ethion. There is even a school on site in case any of the detainees have children. According to the government...
In reality, the "personal apartments" are small and dirty abodes and the "community activities" include guards forcing people to stand for long hours until they admit their "crimes." The children of these people are "educated" by Solosol's aides, mostly by making them complete various chores.

Reception

Though most of Ethion has warmly received the new initiative, some have pointed out that Olivia Jin was known for brutally murdering her competitors. They have also noticed that the majority of the people who have thus far been sent to the detention center are Pelan.
