The Azrin Of Hawkesburn cure was discovered by Azrin when she was given a huge amount of papers from one of the group of adventurers that had returned home and as a payment for their treatment at the hospital.
it was common for the clerics working at the hospital to also search the documents they got for old and forgotten cures left over from the old times and one night Azrinn was going over some of the old documents that some of the many expeditions that were carried out by both state funded expeditions or by groups of adventures going into the deep jungle of the islands south of the mainland.
The cure was later on named after her.
The Azrin Of Hawkesburn cure is used when the victim have "Shriveling Pox" and while the disease is rare with only a handful of cases spread out over the entire empire, before the cure was rediscovered there was no real treatment of the "Shriveling Pox" the only thing clerics could do to help the victim was to treat the symptoms of it and dull the pain from it and by doing so hopefully provide the victim with a few months of joy before the disease would become to strong and kill the victim.

It took a few years of trial and error by the Silver coast hospital when the cure was deemed safe enough that a skilled enough cleric could use the spell as a cure for the disease.
