Mid Harvest Festival

This festival, celebrated in the month of Verdin, is a sacred festival in celebration of the goddess, Qetanah. This festival was historically established to take first consumption of the crop. Today, it is a major celebration, during the summer, that usually sees special events and parades. Some of the areas best known for its celebration are Branfell and Galemont. Khaso is often known as a popular beach vacation spot during this festival, especially with college students who have just started their summer vacations.
For the church of Qetanah, the celebration involves mass and quiet meditation and prayer, as a sign of reverence to the gift of life, brought upon the crops, that in turn gives life to those who are faithful.
For the kingdom of Harukagon, this period is often revered as a day of rest, as they remember the The Divine Mending, and the nine gods who make the new rulers of the crystal sphere of Malyk.
This tradition isn't celebrated as widespread within the Freelands of Al'Zharia, as the harvest cycle remains constant there, with little changes in the seasons. The city of Red Scar and Istahaven are the places in that area that celebrate it the most, as they have an influx of those of Midaran and Ardenian decent.
